LESSON #

5 different types of content and how to use them?
In order to create quality content, one must first learn the different types of content that is out there...
Content creation isn't easy! It's time consuming, demands consistency and most of all it needs a lot of patience to get your content to be liked. So we need the content format that best works for our audience instead of spreading ourselves too thin by creating everything, and really not adding any value.
#1 Text & Photo
A text & Photo lesson uses the combination of graphics, texts and images to walk students through a particular concept.
Great for simple concepts, or lessons that can be demonstrated with a photo or visual.
Not great for complex topics that require a lot of words to explain. The kind of things that is not easy to share over text but easier over a phone call.
#2 Downloadables
A downloadable - most often a PDF - is a resource or workbook that students can use as reference outside of your course.
Great for concepts and formulas that students need to revisit again, and again. Workbook, cheat sheets, ready reckoners that students can stick to their board.

# 3 Slide Decks
PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides are a great way to walk students through the study material, one step at a time.

Not great for concepts and topics that require lot of words and text to explain.
# 4 Screencasts
Screen-casting or screen recording means recording whatever you see on your computer. It often includes a voiceover or audio which can be used to explain the recording.
Great for simple concepts, lessons that can be demonstrated with a series of slides using text and images.
Not great for concepts and topics that require lot of words and text to explain.
# 5 Videos
Recorded videos is the most engaging type of content and students tend to learn better when they have a real person explain the concept to them.
Great for teaching lessons directly, interviewing experts, demonstrating physical tasks like cooks, crafting, painting etc.
Not great for demonstrating physical skills that can otherwise be be done in person.
